Fantasy / science fiction / YA. August 2016.
It’s day one of Petrified‘s five-day blog tour, organized by the excellent people over at YA Bound Book Tours, and this is already a lot more exciting than I had dared hope for.
Benjamin Thomas at The Writing Train liked the book enough to give it five stars (five stars! That’s, like, all the stars in the world!).
“I was completely captivated by this story on many levels! First, the setting, feel, tone and characters gave me a lasting impression of great fantasy. […] There’s also a good element of suspense, anticipation, and theme that made this read worthwhile.” ~ The Writing Train
Meanwhile, Anissa Musquiz at The Bookworm Central gave it an amazing four-star review that went into a lot of detail (and also mentioned what she didn’t like about the book, which I love that reviewers do, that’s really helpful for my future writing) and also included an excerpt of the book.
“The story is very much a unique one. It was so different than a lot of YA books I’ve read in the past and not just because of the world and the characters, but just because of the fact that it was almost like a sci-fi movie. […] I highly recommend this one if you just want a fun adventure with action, humor, fantasy, and a lot of trolls.” ~ The Bookworm Central
Also today, 3 Partners in Shopping ran a promo posts, and CBY Book Club and Sylv.net shared excerpts of the book. And all five blogs also shares a link to a Rafflecopter contest where you can enter to win one of three $30 Amazon gift cards, so check them out!
Want to read the book yourself? Don’t forget that the Kindle edition is free on Amazon September 5th-9th, and that I’m running a Goodreads giveaway where twenty people win a copy of the paperback edition.
Five new bloggers are scheduled to blog about the book tomorrow, so I’ll probably be back with another update then.
If you read Norwegian, you are a Goodreads user, AND you want a free copy of Trolløya, check out this giveaway!
10 books will be sent out to ten lucky (or unlucky, depending on their taste in books) winners shortly after the giveaway ends on May 22nd.
Oh, and if you are a Goodreads user who want a free copy of the book, and you DON’T read Norwegian – don’t worry, there’ll be giveaways of the English-language edition later this year – possibly even pre-release – so stay tuned!
